Kathleen Clarke, R.N. Clinical Nurse
|
Kathleen is a clinical Registered Nurse
with over 20 years experience in the field. Currently, she is the manager
of her husband's Family Medicine Practice in Antioch, California. Her
nursing career spans 20 years and includes critical care and cardiac
nursing, intensive care unit nursing, and relief Nursing Supervisor at Los
Medanos Community Hospital from the 1970's to 1994. She has experience in
the outpatient surgery department, special chemotherapy certification, a
strong reputation for her excellent clinical skills and, especially, for
her superb bedside manner. Kathleen is a direct beneficiary of the Catholic adoption services, a product of St. Elizabeth's Home for unwed mothers in San Francisco, and later adopted out to a wonderful Catholic family in Pittsburg, California. This explains, she states, the uncommon closeness she feels with the children at the Sister's orphanages that she visited in central Viet Nam in May, 2006. Confronted with the images of suffering Americans in the aftermath of the Katrina hurricane, Kathleen responded by rushing to the scene to help its victims. She spent a week volunteering her medical services to the people at the George Brown Convention Center. This was followed by her participation in the first Holy Rosary International Mission to Viet Nam in May 2006. |
